Brenda Kupa - Managing Director

Brenda Kupa is the Managing Director of the organisation, she has a background in the health and social sector, and has worked in these fields for over 25 years.  She has sat on many local health and social services boards in Central Hawkes Bay as well as the wider Hawkes Bay. She established the renowned Te Whatuiapiti Trust and developed it into a well known respected and credible organisation locally, regionally and nationally.  Her passion for better health outcomes for maori has always been in the forefront of her career. 

Sue Kupa - Personal Assistant to the Managing Director

Sue has worked in Health for 17 years and brings a local knowledge of the community to her role.  Sue is the longest serving member of the team. During her 17 years she has worked in various roles including Community Health Promotion, Coordinator of the Home Support Service for 10 years and now as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director.

Lisa Whakataka - Quality Manager

Lisa has been with the organisation since May 2008, first employed as the Corporate Office Receptionist. She has been in the Quality role since November 2008.  Lisa is of Ngati Porou descent and comes from Tokomaru Bay an hour north of Gisborne.

Chris Warren - Finance/Payroll and IT Administrator

Chris has been employed with Te Whatuiapiti Trust since 2002 as our Finance/Payroll and IT Administrator.
